Results of Saturday's Crop

Here are a few of the LOs I created while cropping at the Scrapbook Clubhouse on Saturday.

These first two are for my Newcomers Club.

Holiday Party:

This one is from last summer's vacation to upstate New York:

And here are a few from Christmas, featuring my lovely nieces:

I am happy to report that everything I used was from my stash, except for the cool patterned paper on Loose Tooth.  It's by Fancy Pants, and I couldn't resist it since it went perfectly with my nieces fleece jacket!

I still need to put the finishing touches on a few other LOs I started while at the crop, so more to come!

Recent Layouts

Last week I was treated to an unexpected long weekend due to a snow day on Friday.  I pulled out my 2008-2009 storage binder (a la Stacy Julian's Library of Memories system) and took advantage of the time to create a few scrapbook pages.

The first page is from last year's New Year's celebration with my best friend and her family.  Next time, I need to get more pictures of the adults, not just the kids and dogs!

Here is my charming husband last January enjoying the delicacy that is the Chicago Dog:

And finally, from last summer's excursion to the Connecticut Wine Festival:

For all you LOM devotees, my extra pictures from these events have been pulled from my binder and are ready for triage to my category drawers (or the trash can!).

This weekend, the snow is gone, the sun is out, and the temperature is in the 50s!! Despite the urge to spend as much time outdoors as possible, I had already signed up for an all day crop on Saturday. I had a great time, and was pretty productive, so more pages to come once I get them cleaned up in PSE!

Playing Catch-Up

I have a bad habit of starting layouts and never finishing them.  They are usually "almost done", but missing some finishing touch like journaling or a title.  This weekend, I took advantage of some free time and completed several unfinished pages. This first one I started last spring, and got everything done, but the title didn't stand out against the patterned paper background. It sat on my scrapdesk for months, until I finally decided just to coat the title letters with lime green stickles and call it good enough! The pictures on this LO are almost 20 years old, from my college days.

The photos on this next LO are more recent, from a friend's baby shower last spring.  This one was completely done except for the journaling, which I finally added over the weekend.  Not sure why it took me so long!

This final LO is the most recent (photos are from September) and is for a Newcomers Club I belong too (I'm the historian...perfect job for me!). Once again, I got everything finished except for the journaling.  Maybe I should force myself to do the journaling first from now on? We'll see.

One thing that sure stands out, seeing these three LOs togeher, is my love of linear designs! Can you say, "Grid, please!"
