Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by! If you are visiting as part of the Counterfeit Kit Club Blog Hop, welcome! You should have found your way over here via Leslie's blog. If you are one of my regular followers, be sure to check out the other counterfeiter's creations...the full blog hop list is posted on theCounterfeit Kit Club Blog.
This month, we were challenged to use our kit and be inspired by a farmer's market...by the displays, colors, textures, produce and over all feel of the place. I took the challenge quite literally and created a page featuring photos of my Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA) share. This was my first year participating in the CSA, and even though we're only two weeks in, I'm loving it!
I can't tell you how much I love that pink woodgrain paper! I think I need to buy some more. Those little wooden hearts also make me happy!
When I was creating this page, I realized I didn't include any green patterned paper in my kit, so I stuck with the pink, blue, and yellow I did have, and added in some green accents (the word stickers and buttons) to tie in with the green of the produce.
The overall design of the page was based on Shimelle's recent Sketch to Scrapbook Page. The major difference is that I used four 4x4 photos instead of one 4x6. You can see her version over at her blog.
How about a close up of the journaling?
Your next stop on the hop is Angela's blog. Can't wait to see what she created!
I love your LO. The twine is a perfect accent for a 'farmers market' inspired page! I am glad that you said the woodgrain was pink as it looked red on my computer screen. I don't think I have come across any pink woodgrain ... sound yummy though!
ReplyDeleteI had to Google CSA ... sounds like a fabulous idea! Love your page with it's 4 photo grid and gorgeous pink woodgrain paper. A page for you to enjoy in more than one way too!
ReplyDeleteSharing the produce shopping is a fabulous idea. Some people in Sydney do it too.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you've arranged the photos on the page with your cute embellishments.
I'll have to google CSA, too but anything that includes fresh salads & veggies gets my approval! Great page for your album.
ReplyDeletethe pink woodgrain paper is indeed gorgeous and I will ahve to keep my eyes open for it. A great layout for those four photos - the green accents are perfect
ReplyDeleteOooh yes, I love the woodgrain and dinky hearts too, set your page of perfectly. Wish I had the space to grown my own :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicious page! I love that pink woodgrain paper, too, and seem to be using wood veneers on a lot of pages lately!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and vibrant page! Love your take on Shimelle's sketch and the way you incorporated extra photos and made it your own. Also love the embellishments you chose! Perfection! :)
ReplyDeletethe agriculture share sounds like a great idea.

Yes, I nearly swooned over the pink woodgrain - I'll be looking for some of that. I hadn't heard of community gardens either until my son recently helped out at one for his girlfriend's church. Your page looks really good. Shimelle is a great source for starting points, isn't she.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great decision to add the green with embellis - sometimes the kit doesn't yield up what we were looking for but this looks great - very creative!
