10 Things on the 10th: LOAD edition!

It's been a while since I've participated in Shimelle's 10 things on the 10th. But I have been a scrapping machine the past few weeks, participating in Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party class as well as Lain Ehman's LOAD 213 Challenge, and I have a lot of layouts to share!

LOAD Day 1: Wordless layout

LOAD Day 2: Scrap a perfect day
LOAD Day 3: Focus on an important but overlooked item

LOAD Day 4: Scrap a goal.  I went with a layout from Cathy Zielske's Move More, Eat Well class (that I bought last year  but never completed, or really even started!)

LOAD Day 5: Scrap your honey
LOAD Day 6: Create a page you've been putting off
Based on a sketch from Scrapbook Generation

LOAD Day 7: Create a page about nature
Based on a sketch from Shimelle's PPP class

LOAD Day 8: Prompt was to scrap a smell, but I went for sight instead...the beginning of Blizzard 2013!

LOAD Day 9: Scrap a childhood photo
Based on a sketch from Shimelle's PPP class
P.S. Has anyone ever seen this toy before? I would love to know what it was called!

LOAD Day 10 is still in progress, so here's one from last month for Shimelle's PPP class

10 on the 10th

Another month gone by already? That means it's time for Shimelle's 10 on the 10th again!

This month, I bring you another 10 crafty projects. Mostly layouts, with a card and a tag thrown in! Most of these were completed at a recent crop at my local scrapbook store, The Papercraft Clubhouse. Love that place, so had to give them a shout out!

Click on any of the images to see them full screen.

From my summer road trip with my niece and mom. Jillibean Soup paper,  Sketch Support sketch

Another road trip layout! Basic Grey paper, Sketch Support sketch.

This was the page kit we received at the crop. Perfect for a picture of my sweet girl, Melody!

A Christmas layout, completed shortly after Christmas! Woo hoo! Crate Paper papers,  Sketch Support sketch  .

Summer scrapbook retreat! Basic Grey papers,  Sketch Support sketch  .

My niece, loving my dogs! Basic Grey papers.

Most of these were created at a weekend scrapbooking retreat I attended in July, 2011 with some online scrappy friends.  I was clearly in a 2-page layout mode! Most of the layouts were about some of my travels in Spring 2011. Most are based on sketches from Sketch Support, Pencil Lines, Pagemaps. Please click on any of the images to see them in a larger format.

Ten on the 10th: Christmas Cookies

I love a good cookie recipe!

Every year, I bake lots and lots of Christmas Cookies to bring to parties and give as gifts. In honor of Shimelle's 10 on the 10th, here are 10 Christmas Cookies I am baking this year.

  1. Cranberry Orange Shortbread
  2. Mocha Slice
  3. Cream Cheese Walnut (my husband's favorite!)
  4. Sugar Cookie Cutouts
  5. Black Forest Cookies
  6. Cherry Vanilla Snowdrops
  7. Chocolate-Espresso Snowcaps
  8. Lime Meltaways
  9. Buttered Rum Meltaways
  10. Crackled Crescents

Last year's Buttered Rum Meltaways...yum!
As you can see, I'm partial to Martha Stewart! With the exception of the lime meltaways, these are all my tried and true recipes I make year after year.  I'll let you know how the lime ones turn out!

My assembly line!
Right now the dough for five of these is in the freezer, waiting to be baked next weekend.  I'll probably make a few more batches of dough this weekend too.
